New Fortran-lang paper

Our new paper on Fortran-lang is up as a pre-print:

[2109.07382] Toward Modern Fortran Tooling and a Thriving Developer Community.

We explain why and how we started the Fortran-lang community, progress made so far, and next steps.

Submitted for publication to ACM Fortran Forum.

Thanks. I learned some things about fpm and stdlib and may try out the string type.

Many readers of ACM Fortran Forum may have already heard of the projects discussed in the paper. Could the paper be submitted to Computing in Science & Engineering? I suggest announcing the paper at Numerical Analysis Digest (NA Digest).
