I would like to know if anybody knows this publisher/journal: Transactions on Engineering and Computation Sciences. They are based, it seems, in the UK and seem interested in a paper that I have written together with Lenore Mullin. But I am hesitant to simply jump ahead.
Transactions on Engineering and Computation Sciences seems not to exist. There is a journal Transactions on Engineering and Computing Science published by the Gnoscience Group. It started in 2020. When I looked at its website this morning (27 Feb 2026 NZ daylight time 13h ahead of UT) the current issue had 3 items published in 2023 and none in 2024 or 2025.
Thanks for looking into this. Odd. I will have to check the exact name then. But it does seem less than reliable.
No. However if it is a recurrent journal

then it should have an ISSN number. Similar to the ISBN for books, the string differs if it is about a publication in print, or one which is electronic. For instance the Journal of the American Chemical Society uses
0002-7863and1520-5126 -
if its publications are cited, it will show up indexed as a known source (e.g., ACS’ CASSI); or in subscription based literature databases like Clarivate’s Web of Science, Elsevier’s Scopus, etc. if in scope of the database and considered important enough. A research librarian can help to identify a suitable database.
Hm, I found this site: Vol. 14 No. 01 (2026): Transactions on Engineering and Computing Sciences | Transactions on Engineering and Computing Sciences.
It seems to be the journal in question though there are a lot of entries in the Google search that are very similar.
The ISSN leads to an entry on worldcat.org, which in turn links to the British Library, stating they picked up with issue 1 of volume 11 of 2023. Though – why still the question marks regarding the publisher and the publisher’s address (given BL would be the legal deposit library in charge), while e.g., your book, or the one by Mike Metcalf et al. carry a complete card? Maybe their helpdesk knows more.
Thank you for this confirmation. When I tried finding it earlier with ISSN, I got a message that ISSN was under maintenance. The publisher in question, scholarpublishing, is a new one to me. But apparently, it is a legitimate enough journal.
