In june (see Cancelled: Fortran Monthly Call: June 2023 - #3 by gak) I submitted a paper to Computing in Science and Technology (Computing in Science & Engineering | IEEE Xplore), but other than an automatic confirmation that the submission had been received there has been a complete and utter silence from their side. I have sent two e-mails to the editor (or at least some general address for the journal) without any response.
Could you give me advice on a possibile alternative journal or on how to contact this journal? (JUst now I did find a more direct email address, so that might be a possibility). For your information: a preprint is available on TechRxiv (Implementing Mathematics of Arrays in Modern Fortran: Efficiency and Efficacy).
Yes, that is the address I sent a message to just now. Previously, I used the one in the confirmation mail, which appears to be a general one. I will see how this turns out. But if this also is a dead end, I will look for an alternative.
Thanks for the suggestions. I am not active on Twitter or should I say “X” nowadays, so that would be a hurdle. I will wait for a few more days to see if there is some reaction. Otherwise the alternative journal looks quite appealing
I was thinking maybe it would be interesting to maintain a list/table (on GitHub?) of journals where we can publish things around computing/Fortran/algorithms…
