Intel's websites are almost unuseable - timeouts, unexpected logging in steps

I am not sure what is going on, but today I have had trouble answering posts on Intel’s Fortran forum (while typing I am suddenly sent to a login page that does not load, so after a long time a timeout occurs) but also when I tried to look up some documentation, the same thing occurred.

I hope someone at Intel can solve this quickly. @greenrongreen , can you confirm this?

Periodically I have similar problems with Intel’s web site, and the forum in particular, but today it seems to be OK. It has steadily gotten worse over the years, something I attribute to outsourcing. I have a persistent problem that when I log in using a password manager, I get error messages (operation failed due to network error, invalid username or password) but it still logs me in. I once spent a lot of time engaging with a manager of the group responsible (Ron is NOT in that chain), and he basically told me to stop bothering him and that they would not investigate.

Well, today (in my morning and early afternoon) it was far worse than ever. I could log in (via a pass key or what do you call them) and I could start typing, but then it would freeze, apparently trying to get me logged in again. The same thing happened in the afternoon when I checked the syntax for DO CONCURRENT via Intel’s online documentation. I do not blame Ron and do not want to put pressure on him :innocent: , it just seemed impossible to warn about this on the Intel forum.

I don’t see that the Intel site offers passkey as an option - at least I couldn’t find it. I wish you luck in resolving your issues. The documentation subsite works acceptably for me (a bit slow sometimes, but it doesn’t log me out.)

The correct term is “Single-use passcode”. I have been using that option because I got confused about my password after having changed it a couple of times because the old one somehow was not accepted anymore. But I have found it again. Hopefully the problem was transitory.
