Do many people here use ARCHER(2)? I had a look into how to get time on it a while back and got thoroughly confused. I did ask for some time via a proposal submission but the proposal wasn’t successful.

Jane Sleightholme and I have commercial accounts on Archer, and had accounts on the previous UK academic HPC system Hector. The Hector (Cray) system was the first system we had access to that supported coarrays. All of our simple parallel examples (MPI, openmp and coarrays) are developed on single cpu systems and then tested on the cluster facilities provided by Hector and Archer. We also test all of our book examples (3rd and 4th editions) on these Cray systems. We’ve also ran the Polyhedron diagnostics test suite using the Cray compiler. Here is the result of the last test suite we ran. https://dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/3432987.3432990 The diagnostic capability of the Cray, gfortran, Intel, Nag and Oracle Fortran compilers: Revision 1 We will be doing an update of this comparision to reflect the new releases of the Nag and Intel compilers at some point.
