Hi All,
Thought I’d share a new PhD opportunity here, since it will most likely involve coding in Fortran (C may be an option), then creating a Python interface. It’s about downscaling and prediction of rainfall extremes from climate models. It’ll be supervised by a climate scientist (expert in modelling) and a statistician (expert in extreme value theory) at the University of Glasgow (UK), as well as a third, external geoscientist. It’s part of a larger exascale computing doctoral training programme. You can find more information here (project name: RainX): PhD Student Projects – ExaGEO DLA
Cheers
