Errata file for "Modern Fortran Explained"

On page vii of Modern Fortran Explained there is a link to an errata file. This has, until now, not been available, but we are happy to announce that the link is now active: Errata

The link leads also to the errata file for the previous edition (2018).

It’s been a year since we mounted the Errata file on our OUP companion site and, since then, some more problems have been detected and solved. They are the items concerning pages 142, 148, 197, 237, 255, 256, 258, 259, 293, 275, 295, 338, 408, and 427 listed in the new Errata file. (The other items are from the previous version of the file.) The actual edits are sometimes constrained by space considerations. The link is the same as that given in the previous post.

We are very grateful to those who have drawn our attention to these problems.

I think Modern Fortran explained (F2023 edition) should also require an update about this feature of the EXIT statement in it’s section 18.3 (The change team construct), and/or section 4.5 (Further uses of the exit statement). I could not find this information there.

Thanks for pointing that out. We’ll make a corresponding change to Section 18.3.
