Indeed, I think stdlib should have fast implementation of Fortran intrinsics, maybe not all, but those that we can make faster, so that compilers like LFortran could use them. I proposed exactly that in Fortran runtime math library. I think back then it wasn’t received as beneficial, but maybe now is a better time.
