This section is for getting help with the Fortran package manager (fpm)

I tried fpm and got as far as the ```First Steps’‘’ section of the tutorial. It told me to enter
fpm new first_steps
In my Ubuntu Linux system that gave the response
Command 'fpm' not found, but there are 16 similar ones.
I therefore suggest that the fpm developers begin the First Steps by saying how to get fpm, preferably with an impression of how much space it will occupy in one’s machine.
Just to note I am adding fpm to Debian (as the “fortran-fpm” package). I am targetting having it ready and in Ubuntu for 2025.10
