I was looking through StackOverflow and I realised that Fortran is not supported for syntax highlighting in code blocks, which I find absurd. After some searching I found that there is already an open Feature Request Please deploy Fortran syntax highlighting - Meta Stack Exchange for just that, but has been mostly ignored by SO.
The absurdity of it all is that Fortran is already supported by highlight.js, Stack Exchange would simply have to enable it in their configuration.
It would be a good idea to try and reanimate this issue!
