Never heard of Hare the programming language until today. Since Fortran and Hare are completely different languages that cannot reasonably be confused with each other, I don’t see why we cannot use a rabbit mascot for Fortran still. Hare’s mascot is pretty static, sitting cozy and looking cute. Fortran’s rabbit is very dynamic, sprinting somewhere. I don’t think there will be any confusion.
