Intel® Fortran Compiler Classic (ifort) is now deprecated and will be discontinued in late 2024.

I just tried compiling a few source codes with ifx (IFX) 2023.2.0 20230721 and got internal compiler errors. I hope all ifx bugs get resolved before ifx officially replaces ifort.

I feel part of the reason for this announcement is to get feedback from the developers to fix the bugs of ifx before the next release. I do report if I find some bugs or errors in ifx
