With all the security layers, macOS is getting increasingly difficult to use for “advanced”/“lower level” tasks.

But Apple is not the only one moving in that direction —a few months back, I tried some “slightly advanced” (i.e., sftp-related) stuff on Android, from Termux, like I used to in the 2010s, and it was not possible because now there’s a storage-related security thing that effectively makes Termux useless.
On iOS (and similarly Android) I can understand. On macOS this is more annoying.
