Hi everyone. I have gone ahead and published the first release candidate for fortls v3 (v3.0.0rc1).
There are still a few minor changes that need to be done (when I get the time), but this is 90% the functionality and most of the bug fixes that will be in v3 of fortls. Let me know what you think.
You can install via
pip install fortls --pre
The new formatting of documentation on the hover looks great! No obvious problems in the first minutes browsing a fairly complicated code 
Thanks for the feedback @scottza. I think there might be some issues with the docstring autocreation when one mixes doxygen and FORD style but that should be easy to address prior to the final release.
Are there plans to provide this for the lazy Sublime Text user who would prefer using Package Control to install this? Asking for a friend. 
This should be able to work for submile text users.
