There is consternation over who should initiate this poll and their potential hidden motives.

Therefore I have started it.

This has to be done properly. You need to explain the options, give examples. You need to include the option that was passed (^()), etc. I don’t have time right now, but I’ll try to do it soon, or you can do it. The above poll will not give us meaningful answers, so I closed it for now. Let’s do it properly. If you want to help, go ahead and propose below the correct questions and options to ask, and write down examples for each. Then we can post it.

But I agree with @certik , the question “what symbol do you like?” in the abstract is not sufficient.
