I have now re-released vegetables as veggies for serial only applications, and garden for testing parallel applications. This comes along with a re-released version of the tool for to aid in creating driver programs, now named cart, with an added option for specifying to use garden instead of veggies.
For the foreseeable future, all development will continue on garden, with changes merged into veggies for release. This should help to minimize any burden associated with maintaining two different packages. The hope is that at some point in the future all compilers will support parallel features implicitly, and any need for two separate packages will disappear.
