I branched from the [C to Fortran transpiler](https://fortran-lang.discourse.group/t/c-to-fortran-transpiler/11007) to create partial transpilers from C++ and C to Fortran using Codex and Claude.

The mapping of C++ language constructs, including [std::mdspan](https://en.cppreference.com/cpp/container/mdspan), to modern Fortran is described in the readme and [here](https://github.com/Beliavsky/Cpp-to-Fortran/blob/main/docs/cpp-to-fortran-mapping.md).
