All the 54 tests of SLATEC passed with a number of compilers (Intel, Lahey, Gfortran, Absoft, Silverfrost, CVF, all on Windows).

Today, I chanced to run tests using the old Microsoft FPS 4.0 compiler.

For Fortran 95 code (including the extensions from the Technical Report) g95 should also be used. It was a robust compiler and had options to detect bad code.
