I have found it extremely easy to build and deploy the fpm in any new machine I’ve gotten access to, it is even easier than installing cmake which some computers still lack or the versioning is off.
I really really like the FPM but, for example, I can’t use it in one of my main apps because it relies on many compiler flags for different files, legacy things, and bad fortran overall. Working towards modernizing it and allowing it to be built with FPM.
Although it would be nice to have a Make and CMake backend, I am not 100% sure it is needed given it is SO easy to install the FPM.
