Hello everyone!,

This post is regarding GSoC project on [improving strings support](https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/projects/#4976006198198272) in Fortran.

I invite everyone to leave their opinions/feedbacks on the functionalities that are currently in discussion. If you have any functionality in your mind to propose or discuss, please feel free to tag me ([@Aman-Godara](https://github.com/Aman-Godara)).

**Currently in discussion** :

1). to add back argument to find function [#442](https://github.com/fortran-lang/stdlib/issues/442)

_Short Description_: With low-level implementation of `find` function merged into stdlib, members suggested to add `back` argument to function `find`, thus an issue dedicated to this has been raised.
_Linked PR_: Not raised yet but code is [here](https://github.com/Aman-Godara/stdlib/commit/9a8303b570b214307a8bdcd302c728fc0621f5a2)

2). move\_alloc for strings [#449](https://github.com/fortran-lang/stdlib/issues/449)

_Linked PR_: none yet

3). Reviewing PR: string list new [#311](https://github.com/fortran-lang/stdlib/pull/311)

_Short Description_: The module provides with operations to deal with `1-D list of strings`.

4). slice function’s documentation made user friendly

_Linked PR_: [#456](https://github.com/fortran-lang/stdlib/pull/456)

Please use the above given link(s) to know more about the functionality, linked PRs (Pull Requests) and to join the discussion.
