I would like to share the news that papers in [JOSS](https://joss.theoj.org/) a.k.a. _The Journal of Open Source Software_ are now (again) assigned a snippet of Markdown. If used, for instance in the project’s `README.md` file, they provide a link back to the open-access pdf.

Three examples picked from the journals’ publication with tag [`Fortran`](https://joss.theoj.org/papers/in/Fortran?page=1:) are
