# FortranCon 2025: Second Call for Abstracts (final extension)

A huge thank you to everyone who has already submitted an abstract for our first call!  
There are still a few open slots, so we’re excited to announce the second call for abstracts—with a final extended deadline of September 12. Decisions will be shared by October 7, 2025.

FortranCon 2025 will take place online on November 4th and 5th.

The keynote speaker will be John Reid. More details on registration and the call for presentations can be found at:

Registration deadline (free of charge): October 15th, 2025.

As last time, the conference will be in Europe’s afternoon, America’s morning and Asia’s/Australia’s (late) evening.  
This leaves room for an associated local - and possibly even in-person - event such as a workshop on the first day afternoon (US time zones) or second day morning (EU time zones). Please contact us if you are interested to organize such an event.  
All presentations will be recorded and made available on the [FortranCon Youtube channel](https://www.youtube.com/@fortrancon).
