Yes, you obviously can’t use local time and season to convey a geographically independent information about a global project. That’s why it’s a fine line: you have to tactfully communicate that those are your particular local coordinates, and not “push” it on others too much. How much is too much is a judgment call.

Yes.
Of course my example was just a light one, without much consequences, just to explore a little the problems of global communication. And how misunderstanding can easily arise.

I saw a comment about the number of users versus those reading the forum. I normally read using the e-mailed digest, so when I click on a link to read the article I come in as a guest, and not as a registered user. If that is common then the statistics are under-reporting the registered user interaction.
