I use the British Library and was curious about their Fortran holdings. I did a simple search of the catalogue and ended up creating a simple database of their Fortran holdings.

Here is an extract

select year\_published title author\_01 publisher from publications order by +
author\_01

year\_publi title author\_01 publisher

* * *

```
   2019 Ay's neuroanatomy of C. elegans for computation Achacoso, Theodore B. CRC Press
   2009 The Fortran 2003 handbook : the complete syntax, features and procedures Adams, Jeanne C. Springer
   1992 Fortran 90 handbook : complete ANSI/ISO reference Adams, Jeanne C. Intertext Publications
   1997 Fortran 95 handbook : complete ISO/ANSI reference Adams, Jeanne C. MIT Press
   1984 Fortran 77 for non-scientists Adman, Peter. Chartwell-Bratt
   1985 Fortran 77 : solutions to non-scientific problems. Adman, Peter. Chartwell-Bratt
   1984 Applied structured WATFIV Ageloff, Roy Wadsworth Pub. Co
   1981 Applied FORTRAN 77 featuring structured programming. Ageloff, Roy. Wadsworth
   1975 A method of bivariate interpolation and smooth surface fitting for values given at irregularly distributed points Akima, H. (Hiroshi) U.S. Dept. of Commerce, National Telecommunications and Information Administration, Instutute for Telecommunication Sciences
   2003 Object-oriented programming via Fortran 90/95 Akin, J. E. Cambridge University Press
   1974 Computer Programming fortran language. Al-Bahrani, Abdul Karim. Al-Ma'Arif Press
I’ve done simple reports using
year\_published
title
author\_01
publisher
and ordered the reports by each column
There are 1124 entries.
Here is a link to the complete report
[https://www.rhymneyconsulting.co.uk/fortran/british\_library\_catalogue/fortran\_books.txt](https://www.rhymneyconsulting.co.uk/fortran/british_library_catalogue/fortran_books.txt)
I’ve only included the primary author (author\_01) in the report.
The libraries I’m most familiar with:
- [https://www.tib.eu/en/](https://www.tib.eu/en/) (1596 hits when searching only the TIB catalogue)
- [Slovenian Library Catalogue](https://www.cobiss.si/) (1180 hits, more than half are in Slovenian, Serbian, Croatian and German)
Edit: a few interesting finds:
- [Zuse Z25. FORTRAN II. Programmierungsanleitung, 1969](https://digital.deutsches-museum.de/de/digital-catalogue/archive-item/NL%2520207%252F4133/) (FORTRAN II Programming Instructions)
- [Fortran X8: Ein flexibler, rekursiver FORTRAN - Compiler, 1969](https://dibiki.ub.uni-kiel.de/viewer/image/PPN872886255/7/LOG_0003/)
Maybe some of the listings allow to amend compilations _books_ and _GitHub hosted projects_ curated by @Beliavsky. Independent from this, were it both technically possible and considered useful to i) save the _search queries_ to ii) retain/add them for instance as an additional entry to [Learn — Fortran Programming Language](https://fortran-lang.org/learn/)? I hereby presume accessing the underlying links for instance in a quarter of a year later is going to yield the then current holdings of the libraries. Similar to a search for `Fortran` as part of the `book title` on [worldcat.org](https://search.worldcat.org/search?q=Fortran&offset=1&itemType=book&itemSubType=book-printbook%2Cbook-digital%2Cbook-thsis%2Cbook-mss%2Cbook-braille%2Cbook-largeprint%2Cbook-mic%2Cbook-continuing),\* or `Fortran` as part of the `title` in an indexed publication [here](https://search.worldcat.org/search?q=ti%3AFortran&offset=1).
\* I think worldcat considers each edition, as well as _physical_ and _electronic_ version as separate item, like the 10,485 records on [archive.org](https://archive.org/search?query=Fortran) with at least one metadatum `Fortran`.
