The hardware type can influence the results of your tests.  
I use intel I7 or AMD Ryzen processors and OpenMP threading. For this configuration, one of the main influences on performance for larger vectors is memory bandwidth, so issues of cache sizes and number of operating threads can influence the measured performance.
